We made another pit stop to CentrePoint BU on a no-idea-where-to-eat-day, there were so many upscale yet casual cafe around, but we settled for Champs' Bistro after some time of loitering around.
'Damn Shiok' Hokkien Prawn Mee (RM18.90++). RM 20 for a bowl of prawn noodles? We are not crazy as the oodles of noodles garnished with crispy shallots come in a gigantic bowl. A generous portion of kangkung, big fresh water prawns, shrimps, lards, pork slices and even pork ribs is served.
The broth is well flavoured and has a right amount of consistency. Fighting the temperature to gulp it down, I happily sipped the soup till the last drop.
Champ's Bistro is not your average corner bistro that serves only booze and finger food. The total bill comes to RM 50++ with extra order of drinks, albeit comes in a higher price, the food is of great quality and huge portion. Do drop by for some unusual hawker fare food or bistro food.

I was telling Tankiasu before, the pork ribs in my prawn mee was so big till I got scared eating it. I have not been back since then and that was like 6 years ago!!!
At one time yeara ago this fella had a few shops here and there but his attitude then was well , cocky and crude so we thought !
then this type of pricing can only attract a certain type of ppl probably what we call 'one timer' only !

OMG!! Champ's is still around?! I was just reminiscing about it last week! How weird! I used to go to the one in Bangsar ALL THE TIME!! Wonder if it its still as good as always. LOVE the prawn mee with pork ribs.... Mmmm thanks for the post! I'm going to go check it out!!
yea...agree with u strongly dat the prawn mee is darn shiok! Cant stop slurping the flavourful stock. I tried their baby pork ribs, 2 person shared one full rack, at first we were horrified by the giant portion but hey, we managed to wallop each n every edible bits :p

Used to crave for its prawn mee. Since discovering many other places serving good ones, I'm now turned off by the price here. =(
The price sounds "crazy" but it seems like worth the price.
sounds expensive but I supposed the portion size + location + delish factor counts for it. the soup looks amazing!

If it's good.. i really donch mind paying for it. Imagine i have to pay like 33$ for a plain beef hor fun.! that took an hour to cook.. :(
